Three Pillars of Privacy

Liquid Coin protects sender, receiver, and amount information using proven cryptographic techniques

Ring Signatures

Sender Privacy

Your transaction is cryptographically mixed with 11 decoy outputs from the blockchain, making it computationally infeasible to determine which output is the true sender.

Ring size: 11 outputs
Untraceable transactions
Plausible deniability

Stealth Addresses

Receiver Privacy

Each transaction generates a unique, one-time destination address. Only the sender and receiver can identify the true recipient, preventing transaction history tracking.

One-time addresses
Unlinkable transactions
No address reuse

RingCT

Amount Privacy

Ring Confidential Transactions hide the amount being sent using Pedersen commitments, while still allowing the network to verify that inputs equal outputs.

Hidden amounts
Verifiable integrity
Pedersen commitments

How Privacy Works

A step-by-step look at a private GLASS transaction

1

Transaction Initiation

Alice wants to send 100 GLASS to Bob. She creates a transaction using Bob's public address, which automatically generates a unique stealth address for this specific transaction.

2

Ring Signature Formation

The transaction selects 10 decoy outputs from the blockchain and mixes them with Alice's real output. All 11 outputs appear equally valid, making it impossible to determine which one Alice actually spent.

3

Amount Concealment

RingCT encrypts the transaction amount (100 GLASS) using cryptographic commitments. The network can verify the math is correct without seeing the actual amount.

4

Blockchain Verification

Validators verify the transaction is valid (correct signatures, sufficient balance, no double-spending) without learning who sent it, who received it, or how much was transferred.

5

Recipient Detection

Bob scans the blockchain using his private view key and detects the transaction meant for him. He can now spend the received GLASS using his private spend key.

Optional Transparency

View keys provide selective transparency without compromising security

Private View Key

Read-Only Access

Share your view key with trusted parties (accountants, auditors) to allow them to see your incoming transactions without the ability to spend your funds.

Private Spend Key

Full Control

Your spend key grants complete control over your funds. Keep it secure and never share it. Combined with your view key, it provides full wallet access.
